Piinpoint recently conducted an exclusive interview with our CEO, Nick Molina, to pick his brain on the vaping industry and to discuss VaporFi’s growth strategy during our market’s most challenging time. With a background in operating brick-and-mortar stores, Nick explains how he selects which markets to penetrate, how the industry has changed since he first entered, how regulations will affect operations, and gives inspiring words of encouragement for future business owners. His optimism comes from decades of experience in launching successful entrepreneurial ventures, so it is not said in vain. With that in mind, he gives some sound advice to aspiring entrepreneurs and franchisers.
International Vapor Group has long been committed to excellence in our products. We have been a part of this market since its inception, and will continue to change, grow, and evolve with it as time progresses. So, what has enabled IVG vapor product brands to exist through the continuous changes in this market? Here’s a look.
Dedication to Innovation
We are interested in technology, and what is possible for the continuous evolution of vapor products, including e-cigarettes, mods, vaporizers, e-liquids, and all accompanying accessories. While creating things that are currently enjoyable, useful, and fulfilling, we want to go further. We have been dedicated to creating cutting edge products since the beginning, and it’s what we aim to do for the long term.
Understanding Our Clients
Understanding what our customers’ needs are has enabled us to create products that stand the test of time, while satisfying their needs. Quality, variety, and products they can trust are the tenets we never compromise because they are what our customers rely on IVG brands for.
Predicting the Future
No, we aren’t into metaphysics or anything like that; we study market trends, and what our customers are doing now, to understand what they’re going to want in the future. While we want satisfaction for our users in the present-day, we think several steps ahead, and are fully concerned with what they’re going to want down the road.
Quality Above All
Quality, as mentioned before, is not a factor we take lightly or sacrifice under any circumstances. Vapor products make life better, and we understand this. Creating items that perform as needed and do not falter when you need them most is what customers want, above all. This has allowed us to sell million of products over the years, and continuously create items that fit our customers’ needs. People want quality, especially when vaping since so much of the industry is loaded with bad quality. Knowing IVG brands such as VaporFi and DIRECTVAPOR put this aspect above any others, customers are more inclined to repeat their business.
So, why has IVG managed to last in an industry where the competition has been cut-throat? Because we understand the market, our customers, and have a passion for creating products that make life more enjoyable.
Team DIRECTVAPOR is fighting for your right to vape, and this team of sponsored MMA athletes is proving to be clearly unstoppable. With a nice round of victories, we want to send a huge shoutout to Freddy Assuncao, Andrew Whitney, and Sabah Homasi for their well-deserved and respected wins.
Team DIRECTVAPOR MMA has really been loading up on wins as of late, and we are so proud of all of our sponsored MMA athletes! This past Friday, during Titan FC 40, our three sponsored fighters made a killing, with all three coming out of the cage as winners at the event which went down at the BANKUNITED Center in Coral Gables, Fl. We are especially proud of the ferociously talented Freddy Assuncao, who not only defeated his opponent, Gesias Cavalcante during their match, with a technical submission via a guillotine choke, but also took home the lightweight title as a result. Go Freddy!
Other notable moments of the evening came when DIRECTVAPOR MMA-sponsored Andrew Whitney put down an upset victory against Anderson Dos Santos to come out on top, and securing himself a spot during the finals set for next month. Laying down weighty punches, in the second round at the 3:28 point, the ref put an end to the match, signaling a victory for Whitney. Aiming for the Bantamweight/ 135 lb championship, Whitney proved he has the courage, determination, and skill to fight his way to the top of this sport.
We are also very impressed by the fighting skills displayed by Sabah Homasi, DIRECTVAPOR’s third sponsored fighter of the event who dueled his way to victory. Defeating Jorge Patino with a killer TKO by punches in the second round, it took the “The Punisher” a mere 1:18 into this round to claim himself another win for his MMA resume.
So, congrats to all who’ve fought for the vape fam. We are full of gratitude and awe for these guys who go out there with absolute determination, and manage to come out on top after fighting equally skilled opponents. Go TEAM DIRECTVAPOR!
E-Liquid packaging is now officially regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, as of July 26, 2016. Earlier this year, President Obama signed this legislation into law, as the Child Nicotine Poisoning Prevention Act, and it has come to its fulfillment. On the part of the industry as a whole, this has been a very welcome regulation, as it is clear the intention is to ensure safety, and to make the products even safer.
This newest e-cigarette regulation will require all packages of e-liquid that contain nicotine which can be accessed through typical use by a consumer, will require a child resistant cap. All manufacturers will be required to have their packaging tested out, and upon the completion of this testing, they will have to show proof of authenticity with a General Certificate of Conformity.
Packages of e-liquids that contain no nicotine/ 0mg, and those that are prepackaged, sealed upon manufacturing, and disposable containers that are used directly with the electronic cigarettes (cartridges) are exempt from this regulation because these products do not come with the same level of danger as bottles of liquids do.
While this regulation may not come as a surprise for many in the industry, most reputable and responsible brands have taken it upon themselves for quite a while to equip their packages with such safety precautions. And though regulations of any kind are usually met with some resistance, especially when people feel their rights to freedom are being infringed upon, regulations that honestly take into account the need for precautions are the responsible way to go.
All IVG brands have used child-resistant caps on e-liquids for quite some time now, understanding that this type of regulation was going to be occurring one way or another. Clearly that time has come to fruition, and while we are happy to have been ahead of the curve, we look forward to all manufacturers in this industry taking a step in the right direction to ensure safety across the board.
